Entering into a new season
The orange, red, and yellow leaves blanketing the trees (and my yard) serve as a colorful parallel to the new season of life that we find ourselves entering.
The house is a sea of boxes, the truck is reserved, and our life is in rather chaotic transition.
This state of disarray is due to the fact that we need to leave a place and a people that we dearly love in order to be near a Children's Hospital that specializes in our son's Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (more on that in future posts). The rest of the year will entail relocating, putting roots down in a new city, adjusting to a new job that, among other things, requires raising support, and establishing completely new rhythms in just about every aspect of life as a family.
No big deal.
The good news is our Jesus has demonstrated himself to be faithful and present in every step so far, and we have every reason to believe that he will continue to display his kindness and provision moving forward.
We are excited to build a team of partners who want to see people all around the world cared for well, churches equipped to send well-trained people and families and provide ongoing care to those they send, as well as helping to meet the unique needs of our family!
See you in CO!
